The Susquehanna River Institute is to be a coalition of educational, corporate, and community partners. The Institute's administrative center is King's College, Wilkes-Barre, PA. The Institute is guided by a director and supported by an advisory board comprised of representatives from among the partners. As the Institute grows, additional structure may be developed to support the organization.

Invitations are ongoing for potential sustaining partners to the Institute. Those invited will include corporations with ties to the river/watershed as an industrial resource, and in particular, those industries that have exhibited positive histories in environmental stewardship. Community organizations devoted to maintaining the health and integrity of this ecosystem will also be invited to share in the Institute's vision and initiatives.
